Although I am no longer of working age ,I found lots of good advice in this book to help in just managing and organising each day. It is probably invaluable guidance for young or middle age people pursuing a career or running businesses. Brilliant also for individuals working from home. It was interesting reading different articles by various sometimes very well known authors. Yes,I would recommend it as a good source of encouragement on exactly what it says in the title. I can only apply some of it to help me managing our pretty small house and my rather mundane daily existence!

I bought this book with the expectation to find a structured way to manage my day-to-day but I found something else. What this book is about is a compound of random advice to manage your daily life which can be used together but are not part of a whole.

If you expect a solid way to manage your time, you probably want to take another book.

Probably worth a read if you have nothing better to do. There is too much space taken up with the index.

Love the book, from its design to its content. It is great book for changing some habits, and not only for creatives but also anyone in business, etc.

This is super. Well balanced and should be read by everyone who knows they are becoming techno-slaves and those who don't know and have already become dehumanized. Thank you to the various contributors of this book. It opens one's eyes to the dangers to health and well-being.

4 1/2 stars really: a bit thin; but at Kindle price, good value and provides the pep talk we all need occasionally. Wise words to keep us on track and remind us that being creative ain't easy – nor is it supposed to be.

read it a month ago - don't remember anything useful from it. Repeating advices that you've already heard. But if you need an inspirational push, not new insights, this can work for you.

Simply fantastic book. Some of the content I could skip through but there were a few absolute gems that has made a difference to my productivity levels. The part that sticks in my mind most was Gretchen Rubin's chapter on the power of frequent action, which alone was worth more than the cover price. It's must reading for people working on their own projects, whether that be setting up a business or writing a novel, and useful for everybody else.

I really enjoyed this book. It's full of great 'real life' advice from some very wise people. If you are a bit of a self-improvement junkie like me then you'll love it. My only criticism is that it's a bit shot, so it would be wonderful if they did a follow up.
